Why do people think Gordon Brown is inept?
No you are wrong on this one. Brown has been the chancellor for the past ten years before he was unelected PM, and he has basically strangled every penny he can get out of this country and has essentially pissed it down the drain. The fact that our taxes are so ridiculously high, the cost of living is so high and a lot of people in this country are struggling to stay above the breadline has a lot to do with Brown’s decisions. The people slate the tories but my whole adult life so far has been spent under Labour and they have consistently made this country worse and worse. Cameron may not be a miracle worker, but if he makes sensible policies such as reintroducing the basic 10p tax band, lowering the basic tax rate for everyone to loosen the economic noose around our necks, and stop squandering millions of public money on Europe, foreign aid and benefits, and put it all into schools, health care, military and policing, then he can in fact turn this country around.
