Why do people think Europe is such a better place to live than America?
Well… to play devil’s advocate – That is because a lot of European countries have a much higher standard of living and quality of life than the US overall. That, and they have lower crime rates, higher standard of democracy, better health care, better education etc etc according to the Forbes (I believe it was them) analysis of the best places to live. I believe there are places in America in which the standard of living is much better than many places in Europe. It can be very poor in many European countries. Although, the better countries in Europe appear on paper to be much much better to live than the US taken as a whole.
