Why do people still believe in the collection of outdated fairy stories also know as religion?
Well, the ancients knew the earth was spherical. Does this knowledge of the world make their religions any more persuasive? Greek and Roman mythology could very well be based on facts. I will not argue for or against any religion as each person must choose their own path, but I understand your point. I am a spiritual person and have my personal beliefs about the meaning of it all, yet do not turn to religion as many people do. However, there is nothing wrong in having faith in what you believe and I don’t think it is far fetched to believe in a “God” or even gods and goddesses. We have no way to verify what actually happened at the beginning of time. We have scientific evidence and some great theories but no real proof, and I might add the evidence doesn’t necessarily contradict certain religious beliefs.
