Because often, even through all the bad stuff that they have to put up with, they still love the other person and don’t want the relationship to end. Sometimes people would far rather be in a relationship where there is fighting all the time than be alone without anyone there for them. Even in bad relationships, there are good times.

People stay in hopes of the relationship that they are having will improve for the better. They cling on to the hope that they will somehow discover the spark that got themselves together, again.

Physical attraction is prolly the main culprit. You tell yourself damn if we break up no more bed action for me. Or their is the psychological view that you dont want anyone else to do anything to her sexually so you just stay in the relationship so no one else can bang her.
