Why do people send guns to the Firearms Section?
The Firearms Section receives evidence from the county and city police departments in the Central Florida area. The guns have been confiscated from people engaged in criminal activities or are turned in to police officers to be destroyed. The Chemistry Section’s job is to see if the gun works and to determine if the gun was used in any crimes.
