I’m a christian but i dont think i can give you an exact answer God flooding the earth was to rid us of sin He took Noah, basically the best guy on the planet, and asked him to build an ark because there was gunna be a flood yeh He says ok cuz he faithful to god and does it. god spare his family. He takes animals with him, blah blah blah. To be honest it makes complete sense. Imagine if you had created something in your image that you truly love, and then they all turn against you? your going to feel anger. Before Jesus came and as sacraficed for our sins, so that we are forgiven, human beings were rightly punished by god I think the flood is less a show of lack of love, than a show of anger at the creations that have betrayed him. Also, the ones who died in the flood who loved and worshipped god wouldn’t mind dying anyway. They would welcome it as i would and would spend eternity in with god in heaven. So it was only really a punishment to the people who had turned there back on god E
