Why do people say “fear of the unknown”?

0

Some people do fear what they don’t know. They are afraid they have heart disease, so they don’t go to the doctor. In the old days, my grandparents were afraid of hospitals because all the people they knew who went to the hospital when they became ill enough went in and never came out. (They died) So it’s true, when some people don’t understand something, don’t have enough information about it, or can’t perceive it in their own minds, they may have a fear of what they don’t know–hence; fear of the unknown.
