Why do people resort to name calling and ad hominem attacks?
I know this may come as a huge shock to you but many of the people who do this, do it for sport. There are those who surf sites like this for one reason and one reason only, to see if they can slip their attacks under the radar. They bait their hooks and wait to see who bites. Once someone bites, the goal is to get as personally insulting as they can get without getting caught red handed. See how many attacks they can work into a discussion before they get moderated. Usually, they will be the first person to say “ad hominem attack!!!!” They throw a huge ball of hypocrisy at you and while you’re trying to get your chin off your chest they take a seat in the victim chair. Great fun! I have seen this method used over and over and over. Each flame baiter thinks he is the master baiter with ninja skillz.
