Why do people prefer google search engine than yahoo search engine?
For a while, Google was substantially better at returning relevant search results than other search engines, and had the cleanest interface (which was important back when broadband was less pervasive). I’m not sure to what extent this is still true, but in most cases people probably just don’t see any compelling incentive to switch, and people are more likely to just use whatever they’re most familiar with.
