Why do people misunderstand India and Indians so much???
Everyone in the West seems to misunderstand India so much. Ignore the outsourcing part. Look at the part where Simpson arrives in Bangalore, a major city and the IT capital of India. You see large towers with domes. That signifies Muslim culture, whereas actually, India has a majority of Hindus, although it doesn’t give any special status to any one religion. It’s true that almost all Indians have black hair, but it isn’t true that all are dark complexioned. Many of the students in my school are fair in skin colour. And for heaven’s sake Indians don’t speak in that silly accent. Also many people generalise the language spoken by Indians as ‘Indian’. Well, it’s not like that.
