there are as many different reasons for marrying as there are people that marry. Some marry for the right reasons love and commitment. Some marry for the wrong reasons ie they have a kid together, they are lonely, new social status, etc. basically any reason besides loving that person and wanting to make a commitment to be with them for the rest of your life is the wrong reason in my opinion. However I would say more then half of marriages marry for the wrong reason.
