Why do people make these lame chain mail?
The reason people make up chain letters is because they are bored trolls with nothing better to do, or at least they can’t think of anything better to do than make up dumb junk, trying to scare or otherwise coerce huge numbers of people into passing it along. They love getting belly–laughs at the expense of others. Chain letters really aren’t scary at all when you look at them rationally. But the hoaxters don’t want people to think, and they count on kneejerk reactions of some emotion, fright, anger, false sense of friendship, you name it, there’s a chain letter for every single emotional issue out there. It’s all about chain letter originators managing to have power over the people they dupe with their bollox.
