Why Do people make teen pregnancy look so horrible??

I am a pregnant teen.I’m 15 almost 16 and I’m 4 months along. No alot of people can tell yet but the people that I’ve told are supportive. My friends love to rub and talk to my belly. And i think it’s good to know that there are people that wont look down on you for something like this.Teen pregnancy isn’t a mistake. No pregnancy is a mistake and they should never be told or treated like they are.I know my baby isn’t a mistake and yes me and my boyfriend (Who sill be my hudspend on August 22) are keeping it and he got a great job about 3 weeks ago and is really working on making a great life for us.So anyone who thinks that I’m irresponsible for becoming pregnant that I’m sorry that you feel that way.But i know what I’m doing is right and that even if you don’t support me I have great people in my life that do.And people that think that this is a great thing.I don’t consider my life as being over.I think that it’s just going to get better.

We make it look horrible because for far too many teen moms, it IS HORRIBLE !!! Most girls who get pregnant wind up dropping out of school, and without an education, their chances of getting any kind of decent work that pays anything are ZERO. These babies also have twice the risk of being born with a developmental disability like Autism than do their peers who are born to older adult women. Apart from this, society’s attitude towards teen pregnancy is not always helpful. Although the stigma associated with out of wedlock births has lessened somewhat, that doesn’t mean it’s gone entirely. Babies need to be in a home with financially secure, stable, loving parents who are comm

Well i agree with you, society looks down on young mothers and also looks down on abortion, so it never makes sense to me, if a teen gets pregnant and has an abortion she’s a horrible person and didn’t live up to her responsabilies and when a teen gets pregnant and keeps it shes trash and will never make anything of herself, I hate the way teen mothers get looked at, they;re see as drop outs that live off the government, which is not the case at all, most mothers 25-30 are on government assistince then teen mothers under 20, I had my baby at 17, unplanned, and in the 11th grade, i graduated high school with honors, and now go to college, have a part time job and take care of my daughter, my boyfriend is still by my side, and i get no financial help from my niether my parents or the government and i hate how people view teenage pregnancy as being bad, because young moms can be good moms too, sometimes better. It’s going to happen whether it’s looked down upon or respected, so why not re
