I think that people like Young Jeezy because he is marketable. I listen to him too but I think that rappers today are famous not because of talent but because of the hype surrounding them. I think that the appeal and sales from so-called “gangsta rap” speaks for itself! If you can effectively and efficiently market a rap artist then people will go head over heals for them!
