I dont really know. I wouldnt want mine to be open. When my grandmother died after a 5 year batte after a stroke, she didn’t look anything like “my mammaw”. I didn’t even want to see her body, but I helped take care of her so they wanted me up front. It was so awful. Also, when I was a Freshman, a friend died in a car wreck, AND THEY HAD AN OPEN CASKET! I was like WTF, her face was all sunk in and you could literally see where she had been cut and wounded and they “tried” to fill it in with makeup. Im sorry for your loss, I know its difficult.
