Why Do People Like Cascada and Basshunter?????
Cascada and Basshunter type songs are aimed at students and young people. I dj in a town centre pub on a student night and have come to this solid conclusion: Young people are very very narrow minded with popular/dance music. They will only appreciate music that they hear on the radio and what theyre friends listen to. Ive tried playing really cool electro and wicked house tunes and they still come up and ask me for Cascada, Basshunter, Special Dee, Bassline and other stupid sounds and simply choose to ignore the REAL sounds. Its annoying for me cause i have a real passion for music and really like to mix it up. Students and young people choose not to be open minded cause its simply not cool nowadays. You are right though…..it is proper sh*t music.
