Why do people lack motivation?
The girl who I asked out who said no who is now one of my closest friends, we’re both very, very, very musical, and we’ve been talking about starting a band for a while now. She sings, I play guitar and/or piano and do backing vocals, but no one else we know has the drive to sit down and create music. Everyone else just wants to JAM on an electric guitar and say “Whoa! Dude! That was like… dude…. wicked… dude…” And I can’t just hang out with her and have it be a two-person band because I asked her out. People still think that we’re going out even though she said no. It’d be weird if people saw us hanging out, or even heard about it. Worse than this, all of her friends HATE me. One of them won some national award for ice skating and when I said, “Hey, congratulations Nicki!” She gave me a freaking death glare and said “F**k off, you wierdo!” And one of her other friends came up to me while I was talking to the girl who i’ve been speaking about, and said “Give up!
