Why do people keep saying that dogs are carnivores when they are obviously omnivores?

Dogs ARE very adaptable, but just because they can survive on an omnivorous diet does not mean it is the best diet for them. Teeth are highly specialized and are structured specifically for the diet the animal eats. Look at your dog’s teeth, they are all very sharp. They are designed for for grabbing, ripping, tearing, shredding, and shearing meat. Now, people are true omnivores, so look at your teeth. You have flat molars that are designed for grinding vegetation. Another true omnivore, the black bear, have teeth that are similar to ours, except for their massive canines.
