Why do people join the armed forces?
As the old saying goes. ”Someones gotta do it” People join for a whole myriad reasons. for some it was a spur of the moment thing, no job no real future prospects in a high tier job, etc For others it was a life long ambition, had their sights set on that specific career Me personally I had it as a long time ambition of mine, I used to crave to have that green beret on my head, so much so I used to have dreams about being in Royal Marine recruit training. Every Tuesday and Thursday I travelled about 20 miles just so I could go to Marine Cadets. To this day I still don’t regret my career choice. Sure it has it **** days, 32 weeks of training was a long time and very hard, Afghanistan was like hell and the pay isn’t great…but still.
