Why do people in USA find it strange to hear a black person speak English with British Accent?

There are people that were born and raised in Africa that don’t know how to speak any sort of African Language whatsoever. I’ve been stripped of my language because neither of my parents taught me either of their languages (my mom and dad spoke completely different languages, but since both spoke english, that’s all I ever heard them speak. Each of them knew about five languages). Many groups are stripped of their language. Most third generation immigrants can’t speak their grandparents language, I’m sure the native american languages have been greatly diluted, and some parts of the UK use their native languages less. The list could go on.
