Why do people have issues with attachment parenting?
The eight principles of attachment parenting are 1. Prepare for Pregnancy, Birth, and Parenting 2. Feed with Love and Respect 3. Respond with Sensitivity 4. Use Nurturing Touch 5. Ensure Safe Sleep, Physically and Emotionally 6. Provide Consistent and Loving Care 7. Practice Positive Discipline 8. Strive for Balance in Personal and Family Life ( you can read more here http://www.attachmentparenting.org/princ… ) I don’t see how any one of these principles can be detrimental to a child’s mental or physical well-being. I had never heard of this before my daughter was born (she’s 4 months) but nonetheless, this is pretty much what I’ve been doing. I did TONS of research on pregnancy and birth when I found out about our (unplanned but not prevented) pregnancy. I nurse my daughter and enjoy the special bonding time, we coo back and forth and I hold her hand. If she is fussing or crying I tend to her and
