Why do people hate Tony Blair?
Tony Blair was George W. Bush’s puppet master and Tony was relying on false intelligence in order to lead his nation into an illegal war which cost America greatly. I know Conservatives won’t whine over the billions and billions of dollars that Bush threw into the rat hole over in Iraq, but what they fail to understand is that the 5,000 or so young Americans who lost their lives over Tony Blair’s misinformation was purely led by his greed to control Iraq’s oil supply. .
He repeatedly broke the law, specifically the law against selling ‘honors’ in exchange for party funds. He used his influence to appoint old colleagues from his legal past and his wife’s legal associates into prestige positions, and was subsequently able to avoid prosecution. He oversaw a government which contained people whose prime objective was their own financial advancement, and he and his wife led this by example. At the time of the ‘millenium’ celebrations huge unaccountable sums of public money were spent on construction projects. The ‘millenium dome’ (essentially a tent, originally intended to have a two year life span) cost over a billion pounds. Questions about how this money was spent were met with the reply that it was a commercial secret. Although civil servants are not supposed to work on party political projects, he gave jobs to people at public expense whose only function was to ‘spin the news’.
