Why do people hate American Dad and Like Family Guy?

I completely hate MacFarlane now but I must say that American Dad is better than Family Guy. At least American Dad is funnier and Stan is a great character (even though the whole point of it is to make fun of conservatives through Stan). I guess some people (uneducated hippies) like Family Guy better than American Dad because in Family Guy the hyper ultra liberal is a talking dog while in American Dad the hyper Ultra liberal is a teenage ****. I just try to avoid both shows but if I had to watch one I’d choose American Dad.
