Why do people get so freaked out when they here the phrase “straight acting”?

The reason people get weird about the phrase “straight acting” is because of the opposite stereotype it creates and it defeats its purpose. If it describes the way a straight person acts then a gay person can’t use it because they are not. When have you heard a straight guy say I am gay acting. This is why you don’t equate sexuality with stereotypes cause there are always exceptions. I personally think it is harmless though.
