Why do people get piercings????
It is different for everyone. Some people do it to fit in, others do it to stand out. There are a million reasons. For me personally, I get piercings for a few reasons. First, the most basic reason is, I like how they look. I don’t care if other people like them. It’s my body and I’ll decorate it how I want. They also make me feel better about myself. My nipple rings, for example, made me more comfortable with my body. I feel like with each piercing, I am looking more on the outside, how I feel on the inside. They just really make me happy. I also enjoy the whole process of being pierced. I get so excited going in for a new piercing. The nervousness that leads up to it and the adrenaline rush when the needle goes through are a great experience. Piercings aren’t for everyone. It is ignorant to say that it is “ridiculous” and “stupid” just because you don’t understand it.
