Why do people get nasty?
He doesn’t see his answer as being nasty. He sees it as being clever! Take a moment to think about what happens in the media these days. We have misogynistic, degrading songs getting air play and earning ( some) semi literates humongous sums of money. Comedy shows often have a dismissive , demeaning character as their prime role player. Films are written for people whose second language is English, hence hardly a sentence that is not interspersed with a invective of some sort to fill up the script. So people like Renoir think that this is the way to go. Don’t let them get to you. It is their loss not yours. Be strong. look in that mirror of your and realise that the likes of Renoir can only hurt you with their barbs if you allow them in. Then, shake them off.
