Why do people continue to appeal their answers, when it has been taken directly from wikipedia?

So you would rather I read the wikipedia and rewrite it in my own words? Frankly, I think you ought not ask questions if you can easily google them for yourself and answer them, but some people just like asking stupid questions for the fun of it. I have yet to ask a question on here that was a mere fact that could be easily googled. Typically when I ask a question I am looking for an opinion rather than just spitting out facts. I can google answers all day but I don’t think that was what was intended when this website was created. So all that is to say, if you ask me a simple question that wikipedia can answer. Your darn tooting I will give you what they say and not think anything of it. If no one else bothers to answers it then I think I deserve credit for the best answer but I for one won’t bother even to look back to see what rating you gave me let alone appeal it.
