Why do people consider rock music to be “satanic”?
Well the big problem is that a lot of Baptists are VERY conservative. I even see this in my church. They believe that rock is satanic because of the sound. That’s why Showbread, an AMAZING Christian band, got kicked out of their original church. The thing is, The Bible doesn’t say anything about music being evil as far as I can remember. It doesn warn us about evil things we may hear, which could very well include music. Of course, that also depends on the person. For example, I don’t really get affected by lyrics that often, unless they are saying things directly against God. But even then, it all depends on what they are saying against God. Some Christians take it a step farther and say that ALL of it is evil. I think that it’s wrong, and DEFINATELY unbiblical. Besides…your friend shouldn’t go around condemning people…cuz Christians are told not to do that.
