Don’t get me wrong I am agreeing with you, I have a rescue dog myself and he is the best! But breeders, good breeders are needed as well. A good breeder will only breed from quality stock, so that congenital problems are not passed on, and will do it for the love of the breed and not the money. Plus there are breeds of dogs which are needed, and needed to be bred well – guide dogs, police dogs, working dogs, and guard dogs, custom dogs, I could go on! However, pet shops and backyard breeders, I think should be stopped. There are so many unwanted dogs and cats, and so many get euthanaised. To the above comment, you can rescue puppies, which are 8 weeks old. There are so many litters of puppies and kittens that get dumped.
