Why do people ask questions about obviously urgent medical conditions?

You dont always realise its an urgent condition. I went to my gp who sent me to hospital who after four hours told me I had slight chest congestion and was in effect wasting their time. Two days later an emergency doctor told me over the phone I had pluerisy. In actual fact I had blood clots in my lungs and 24 hours after that phone call I was back in hospital fighting for my life. They still dont know how I survived. But my point is, I had no idea how serious it was, I was struggling to breath and had a lot of pain but that was it, I had no idea that I was dying.
