Why do people ask if the meds their vet prescribed are OK?
Vets are not perfect. First, you have to remember that owners have spent every day for years with their pet, and a vet sees them for only 5 minutes. I once saw a vet tell someone that a scratch inside the dog’s ear (caused by ear-plucking, which is both safe and necessary) was a cut and was infected and needed antibiotic treatment. The scratch did not even break skin and had actually occurred 20 minutes prior to the vet appointment, so there was no way it could have been infected. But it did not hurt the dog, and the vet made money, and sometimes that’s how vets are. It’s the same with vets who prescribe Hills Science Diet prescription foods. HSD is
