Why do parents teach their children manners?
I agree the statement “Good little boys and girls do what they are told.otherwise nobody will like them.”Is mean I wouldn’t want to plant any seeds of insecurity in their little minds.I don’t actually teach my children manners as such rather they mimic me.I say Please,thank you and sorry to them and they tend to pick up those words themselves which I don’t believe is a bad thing.It would be a shame for society to lose those type of manners which make the world a more friendly place.Someone holds the door open for you and you say “thank you very much.”Are you trying to say that’s bad?I like my children to do as I ask on the other hand I’m not against them questioning me as I’m not perfect I encourage the kids to have minds of their own and it doesn’t take a minute to answer a question.
