Why do non believers have a problem with islam?
I have no problem with Islam, or Christianity, or Buddhism or ……. <-insert any religion here. I have a problem with intolerant, and ignorant people. And unfortunately the most harmful people who are intolerant and ignorant follow the Islamic religion. I have a problem with these people, and their religious leaders. I have no doubt that the majority of Muslims are peaceful and tolerant people. I also have no doubt that the most violent group of people who cause terror are basing their actions on Islam. Now, to answer your questions: Hate for Islam: Because ignorant non-believing people associate the religion to the actions of terrorists. Misunderstanding: Because we have no need to learn about Islam, because it doesn't help us in any way. The only information we get about Islam is from the terrorists, since the voice of the peaceful Muslims are not heard here. Therefore our misunderstanding is great.
