Why do new players need to submit a copy of their birth certificates?
Birth certificates and proof of residency are required documents as determined by Little League. The birth certificate is necessary to insure players are put in the correct divisions, teams are drafted equally according to age requirements, and in the case that your child is asked to join one of the All–Star teams, the birth certificate is required again to show proof of age.
