Why do new boundary proposals still keep popping up?
The role of the Boundary Committee is to present a recommendation to the Board of Trustees. During the public hearings it was made clear that the boundary options were just proposals. The Committee reserves the right to edit, change, eliminate and create new scenarios based on the research they have done. The Boundary Committee also reserves the right to rediscuss and change any of its decisions prior to making its final report to the School Board. The School Board will then have the opportunity to accept, reject or edit the Committee recommendations presented to them at an April Board Meeting. Please understand this is a work in progress and there still can be changes until the School Board adopts new boundaries in April.
