Why do my goldfish keep dying?

You said you just bought a new tank but I’m not sure how big the tank is and how many goldfish you put in. I could think of a few things why many fish would die at the same time in a newly setup tank. 1. You got what we called a new tank syndrome – when you set up a new tank, the tank is “too clean” and got no bacteria needed to get rid of ammonia (from leftover food and fish poops) and nitrite (something converted from ammonia) which are deadly to fish – you need about 4-5 weeks for you tank to cycle (develop proper bacteria to convert ammonia and nitrite into nitrate with is less harmful to fish) – the problem will get much worse if you put too many fish in a small tank EX. a 10 gallon tank can probably hold only 2 small goldfish in the first 4 weeks without having the fish suffocated and you still need to change about 1/4 water every 3-4 days during this time.
