This is my mother’s secret… Put a fresh slice of bread cut up, in with the cookies when you store them. They will stay fresh and soft. Here is a family recipe that I would love to share with you… Enjoy! Grandma’s Chocolate Chip Cookies 3/4 cup butter 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1 cup brown sugar, packed 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 eggs 2 cups all purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda dash salt 2 cups Hershey’s Baking Chips (12-ounce package) Cream butter, sugars and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and beat well. Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt; add to the creamed mixture. Add the baking pieces and blend well. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheet. Bake in a moderate oven (375 degrees) 8 to 10 minutes. Sources: “Nuttys” Memories of Grandma’s Chocolate Chip Cookies!!!!
