Why do my CD labels go pixelated when I print them?

The original image was too small so when you put on the CD label it had to enlarge itself to fit the dimensions of the CD which would be a lot larger. The small amount of pixels in the image then had to each become bigger thus making them more noticeable on a bigger image. This is a problem if you have the images off the Internet as the images are small so they look ‘normal’ until enlarged and printed out when they then look awful. To my knowledge there is no way to prevent this other than buying a program that corrects the pixel length in the image first.
