Why do my BTS Triggers not sound like they should (I.E. Trigger 1 doesn make a Kick sound)?
First, make sure that you aren’t transposing any layers of the Preset in the Preset Edit menu, as this will throw off the Note Number assignments as listed in the Addendum. Also, setting the Triggers Mode to “Play Beats Part” may not automatically map the ideal note numbers to each Trigger button, so you might not get your beats to sound as you would expect. To set up your Triggers so that they conform to the E-Mu standard of having two main grooves on Triggers 1-4 and 5-8 respectively, four fills on Triggers 9-12, and the four “wild” parts on Triggers 13-16, verify the following settings by going to the “Beats Keys Layout” screen in the Controllers Menu.
