Why do muslims in the UK want the call to prayer to be broadcasted via loudspeakers?
Because their mummies and daddies tell them that’s how it used to be back home. If you ask any young Muslim, they will defend it like a matter of life and death – brainwashing from birth is quite convincing. If they tried it in the West, they’d get so many complaints even the queen herself would issue a royal decree to ban it. Muslims in Muslim countries are just so used to it – and scared of retribution – they actually convince themselves that it is ‘beautiful’. Let them have it vibrating silently on their mobile phones if they want – so the rest of us can get on with real life.
