Why do Muslims have to go around the Kaah seven times?
The Ka’bah is the most sacred place on earth for Muslims, as it was the first house built on earth for the worship of Allah. Going around it is in accordance with God’s instructions through the Prophet Muhammad. During Tawaf (Going around the Ka’bah), Muslims praise Allah, seek his forgiveness and make supplication to God for their needs and desires. So it is both an act of worship and an opportunity to make supplications to God.
