Why do music lessons be so expensive?
Depends who you go to! The more expert they are in their Field the higher their prices will be! They have to make a living! But some don’t charge that much! As with everything you need to shop around! Another alternative is to get a student teacher who specialises in your area! Check your local music school or college! they may be able to give you some names of their students that are doing education as well! You could also try bring up your financial difficulties with the teacher that you want! I am sure that they want to see you learn an instrument despite the financial cost! You never know they might also offer you discount lessons during the holidays or in exchange for you giving some services to them e.g babysitting. As a music teacher I would hate to see someone miss out on knowing and learning music because of financial difficulties!
