Why do most people think “fair skin” equals pink/orange undertones?
I have the same problem as you! I don’t have strong yellow undertones, I have a bit of both pink and yellow I think, but the yellow is definitely there and most light foundations I’ve tried look VERY pink on me. And funny enough, I also use Buff by Revlon! When I want something lighter I mix two colors of Maybelline Pure, the two lightest ones. The lightest color they make is very very pink, the next one up is very yellow but seems much darker to me. I mix them together and make the perfect shade for me. I’ve been told by makeup artists and salespeople at makeup counters that I also have an unusual skintone which can be hard to find a match for. Maybe experiment with mixing foundations? Make Up For Ever has a great selection of colors, you can only get it at Sephora though. It’s a little expensive but their foundations are fantastic – I’ve tried Mat Velvet and their HD foundation. The Face and Body foundation also gets rave reviews. MAC also carries pale shades for pink and more yellow
