Why do most black people I meet mimic rappers to the T?
I am happy that you used the word most. There are a couple of reasons why some black people don’t speak correct English. First, there are not a lot of positive people for blacks to follow. So, we look at rappers who seem to be successful, rich, and happy, and mimic that persona. Then, some people are just ignorant, I’m not just talking about black people. I attend school in Alabama and the white people there are the worst, it is almost like they are too lazy to open there mouths. But what I was saying, is that the lack of education of our mothers and fathers, grandmothers and grandfathers has been passed down from generation to generation. Lastly, it is a cultural thing for some people it is like having there own language that helps them fit into there surroundings. Like you said they may even go to the same school as you, but that is even more of a reason for them to speak the way they do.
