Why do monitoring systems fail to control termites?
Monitoring or bait controls require termites eat the bait and return to the colony to recruit others to eat the bait. However, this process cannot begin until activity is identified in a monitoring station. Once activity is observed in one of the bait stations, the active ingredient is then applied. Monitoring systems can take months to years to control a colony.
