First, Mexican drug cartels are in operation primarily because Americans are their best customers. Americans help keep the drug trade growing in Mexico by continuing to buy illegal drugs. In turn, this means that more Americans are using illegal drugs and harming their health as a result. Second, as the border between Mexico and America becomes more blurred, these drug cartels are bringing the criminal element of the drug trader closer to Americans. As a result, crime is surging in many areas where the Mexican drug cartel has set up shop. Third, the Mexican drug cartels are simply known for being more dangerous and violent than other drug dealers. These cartlels have no problem destroyng innocent lives. As the cartels continue to move to America, we will definitely see an increase in these extremely violent crimes. Sources: This is my opinion.
