Why do meteors showers always occur after midnight?
Meteor showers can be best seen after midnight because of the orbit of the earth. We are head on with the particles of dust that create them after midnight, so more meteors. Before midnight, or during early evening, we are turned away from those dust particles. So there are fewer or no meteors. Edit: Ok, fine. I’m an idiot. I accept the fact that I’m not an expert in astronomy (I just rely on my stock knowledge, from what I’ve learned or read), and that I’m not really good at explaining things comprehensively that’s why my answers are ”idiotic”.
