Why do men not pay for women any more on dates?
Paying for dates is a custom that originates in the days when most men earned more than most women. Nowadays it seems that most women earn an as much as the men they go out with, so see no reason why the men should pay for them. There also seems to be a lot of resentment among men about paying for dates when the women don’t have sex with them. Therefore if a woman pays for her share of the date she need not feel any pressure to have sex.
