Why do Men Get Morning Wood?
The most prevalent theories explaining morning wood hold it to be a holdover from the early days of humans. Back when we were living in caves, hunting dangerous game for food, the men who woke up ready to procreate before heading out to a dangerous hunt spread their genes on better than the guys who woke up soft. A few million years later, the guys alive now have that trait of being able to procreate first thing in the morning. In other words, we have morning wood. Women have a similar physical sensation from the same process. A man wakes up with morning wood, the woman is able to respond and have a bit of fun herself, if the couple acts on the morning wood.
