Why do many protestant christians are against catholic church?
Many Protestants haven’t outgrown the freeze dried polemics and rhetoric of the 16th century. They are locked in to reductionism based on Nominalist philosophy and refuse to grow up. They bash Catholicism out of an inferiority complex. Their religion demands that they misrepresent our teachings, and revise history to suit their agendas. Catholicism doesn’t need to resort to such tactics. We don’t have billions of anti-Protestant web sites. We don’t have hate books that re-write the facts of history to disprove anybody. Oddly enough, the best Protestant scholars are converting to Catholicism. Personally, I believe Protestantism cannot survive much longer. It is collapsing under the weight of it’s own compromises with moral relativism and false materialistic ideologies, so who is the real whore?
